Shi guolin

Guolin, born in 1965 into a martial family in Henan, inherited Shaolin Kung Fu from his mother. He started his training at seven years old and was raised vegetarian by his Buddhist family. At 15, he decided to become a Buddhist monk and joined Yunmushan Temple in Suzhou under the guidance of Monk Hua Lai, beginning his journey in Shaolin Kung Fu.
At 16, Guolin undertook a pilgrimage of over 300 miles across China, practicing Kuxingseng. In 1982, he was expelled from Shaolin Temple due to a training error, which led him to deepen his study of the Diamond Sutra. In 1985, Shi Yongxin named him his Dharma heir, consolidating his position as a leader in the Shaolin Kung Fu tradition.
